Rising GOP/Latino Star Rubio Wins Fla. Senate Race
I may not be happy with the elections results in Delaware, Connecticut and New York, but I’m extremely happy fellow conservative Latino Marco Rubio is going to the Senate.
Look out America, he’s a conservative that has Ronald Reagan coming out of his pores.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the tea party movement pulled off another big win in Florida on Tuesday night when 39-year-old Republican Marco Rubio was declared the winner in a three-way race to fill an open Senate seat.
Mr. Rubio, the former state house speaker, had 50% of the vote with 40% of the precincts reporting. Gov. Charlie Crist, who left the Republican Party when it was clear Mr. Rubio would beat him in the primary, had 29% of the vote and Democratic Rep. Kendrick Meek pulled 20%. The seat is currently held by Republican Sen. George LeMieux, a former top aide to Crist, so the win doesn’t change the balance of power.
