Parolee Killed Boy Over $2

You want to know if there’s such a thing as truly evil people in the world?

This guy is evil personified.

From The New York Post:

Robert Morales, who on Thursday night allegedly shot his parole officer for being too strict, killed a boy three decades ago in a Brooklyn fire.

The Williamsburg fire was set as revenge against two brothers who had stiffed him out of all of two bucks, according to a parole-hearing transcript.

He was sentenced in 1979 to 25 years to life. He was released in 2002.

In a parole hearing at the Arthur Kill Correctional Facility, a panelist asked whether Morales and his pals had felt stiffed: "You didn't like what was given, so you threatened one of the brothers to pay you $2?"

Yes. I felt slighted," said Morales, 50.

Out for blood, his group went to a building in which they thought the brothers lived, according to the documents.

"You ended up throwing a Molotov cocktail into a building?" asked one of the three parole commissioners.

"I wasn't actually the thrower," Morales said. "I held the door."

When asked about the boy who became trapped in the inferno, he said, "That was not expected. That was not part of the plan."

Eerily, he also told the panelists, "I did a lot of foolish things. I'm not foolish no more."

Thursday night, Morales allegedly tried to shoot Parole Officer Samuel Salters, 49, in the face at point-blank range but wounded him in the
shoulder.
