Conservative Leaders Warn Critics Of Sen. Jim DeMint “Lay off’em, or else!”

The battle between Conservatives Republicans and Establishment/RINO/Democrat-Lite Republicans has begun!

I get calls from the RNC and NRSC almost on daily basis. And what I say to them is this, “Tell your bosses to start backing real conservatives! Until then, you want get a dime from me and I’ll contribute directly to the candidates I prefer!”

Click!

What these Washington-infected Republicans have to learn very quickly is that the conservative tidal wave that swept through congress on Election Day still has plenty of water left to sweep away the remaining RINOs in congress the next election cycle and the next after that.

So what if Christine O’Donnell, Ken Buck, and Sharon Angle lost. As previously reported on The Last Tradition, Jim DeMint said as follows:
“I don’t want the majority back if we don’t believe anything," DeMint said

That’s the rub in the argument.

As a party we need to get rid of the Lindsey Graham and Lisa Murkowski-type Republicans who are undistinguishable from Liberal Democrats on key issues affecting the country.

Ronald Reagan preached bold colors not pale pastels to offer the people a real choice at the ballot box.

The lesson of the Christine O’Donnell in Delaware isn’t that Mike Castle had a better chance of winning.

The conservative cause doesn’t need another Northeast version of Charlie Crist with an R at the end of his name.

What needs to be done is to better educate the electorate in the East and West Coasts on conservatism and fight for those votes and not compromise conservative principles.

It’s much harder work. But, the future of the country is worth it.

ABC News News, The Note reports that prominent conservative leaders are putting critics of Sen. Jim DeMint on notice: Stop blaming the South Carolina Republican for the GOP’s failure to take back the majority in the Senate -- or else.

Led by Richard Viguerie, who heads the Web site ConservativeHQ.com, a group of three dozen high-profile DeMint backers, say they will respond to the senator’s detractors “in word and deed.”

“Conservatives will not only challenge and beat more Republican senators in Republican primaries, but conservatives will stop funding and volunteering for the NRSC and the RNC,” Viguerie wrote in a letter addressed to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

“Instead, conservatives will send their money to, and volunteer for, Senator DeMint’s Senate Conservative Fund and the candidates Senator DeMint supports.”

And Viguerie and his counterparts didn’t stop there:

“It would be our goal for the Senate Conservatives Fund to raise more money than the NRSC,” the letter continues. “Conservatives will also work to defeat in Republican primaries those Republicans who retain consultants who criticize or try to undermine Senator DeMint.”
DeMint has been taking heat from some members of the Republican Party for endorsing anti-establishment primary candidates like Delaware’s Christine O’Donnell and Colorado’s Ken Buck, who ended up losing their general election contests in places where Republicans thought they otherwise could have prevailed.

Setting the Record Straight on Barry Goldwater the Man. Prt lll

Part of the reason for the Liberals’ hardh criticism of Goldwater was crudely political: many of Goldwater’s critics qwew Democrats who wanted to defeat the Republican nominee by any means at hand, including charges of racism. Part of it was philosophical: conservatism was a new way of looking at politics, and liberal critics dismissed its emphasis on individual responsibility and the principle of subsidiarity (allowing subordinate or local organizations to perform functions rather than a central authority) as an attempt to avoid dealing with deep-rooted like segregation.

Another part of the reason was racial: there were no Blacks in 1964, no Thomas Sowell, no Walter Williams, no Clarence Thomas, to articulate the conservative point of view on civil rights. Blacks could claim with some justification, that their views were not adequately represented within the emerging conservative majority of the Republican party.

Yet another reason why Goldwater was criticized so severly was the news media which misrepresented or misreported Goldwater’s views on civil rights and states’ rights.

Joe Lieberman Close to Endorsing Conservative Scott Brown for Senate

It seems that Democrat Joe Lieberman is sticking his finger in the air and noticing the winds of discontent are blowing strong in Massachusetts.

In the bluest of blue states where disgruntled colonists threw boxes of tea into Boston Harbor in 1773 in protest of outrageous taxes imposed by the King of England, that same spirit of patriotism and dissent is welling up in the 2010 special election between Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown.

What makes this choice so stunning is that Massachusetts is a Democrat stronghold where registered Democrats out number Republicans 3 to 1. The fact that this race is so close and in one poll Brown has a lead over Coakley tells you one thing.

President Barack Obama’s push to pass a Health Care reform bill that a majority of Americans don’t want has caused the people of Massachusetts to recoil.

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell recently said that Health Care reform will be a toxic issue for Democrats not only in 2010, but also 2012 as the Democrat party continues to push for a European-style socialized medical care system that has failed everywhere it’s been tried.

As we enter the last 48 hours of the campaign, the people of Massachusetts are getting ready to relive their ancestral past and send a very clear message to Washington and the rest of the world.

Enough is enough!

Harry Reid apologizes for "light skinned" remark about Obama

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid had to apologize on Saturday for referring to President Barack Obama as “light-skinned” with “no Negro dialect”. Reid, whose poll numbers are dropping like the temperature accross the country, chose to perform the mia culpa because his racially insensitive remarks will appear in an upcoming book about the 2008 prudential campaign.

This is the same Harry Reid who compared Republicans to those in the South who wanted keep slavery as the status quo, for their opposition to ObamaCare.

As I’ve argued before on this blog, Harry Ried willfully misrepresented the history of his own party on the Senate floor in which Democrats were the original enslavers of Black people and it was Democrats like Robert Byrd, formerly of the KKK, who filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

I’m not shocked by these remarks by Reid because it is indicative of the deception of the Democrat Party who has successfully hoodwinked Blacks into thinking the former slave owners and segregationalists like Democrat George Wallace who once famously said, “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!”, are their friends in all things political.

Every now and then the true colors of the Democrat Party slips out. And that's what happened with Reid.

Don’t expect the African American community to reevaluate their allegiance to the Democrat party because for them and the Democrats, the enslavement of minds to a false history still continues.

And the plantation is still open for business.

Brit Hume: A Profile in Courage in a Godless Landscape

Embattled Brit Hume last Sunday showed tremendous courage by extending an invitation to Tiger Woods to the Christian faith. Not many people if any in his position on television would ever dare come close to talking about such a thing in an industry dominated by Liberals who routinely only pay lip service to a belief in God, let alone Jesus Christ.

The torrent of criticism hurled at Hume by The Left was expected and even vicious at times. However, Hume is applaud by Christians around the world who rightly understand that what he did was not only compassionate, but also he was obeying the last commandment that was issued by Christ himself.

Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Of course, Liberals in their total ignorance of who Jesus was and what he actually did and said, are busting their collective spleens accusing Hume of disparaging Hinduism and by extension all other man-made religions.

Here's a sample:

Why Brit Hume Comment on Tiger Woods is Creepy, Wrong
By John Aloysius Farrell U.S. News & World Report
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/john-farrell

“It takes a religious zealot to strap explosives around his or her waist and, murmuring prayers, blow up a CIA facility in Afghanistan, or take down an airplane over Detroit, or steer a jet into the World Trade Center. Or, for that matter, to treat the world to Crusades and Inquisitions and the kind of faith-based savagery we've seen in places like Belfast, Bosnia, Beirut, and Jerusalem.

That is what made Brit's comments so creepy: the self-certainty that "my god is better than yours."

Hume has the right to yak. People get paid to say all sorts of provocative things these days. I have no doubt that some of his best friends are Jewish, or Buddhist, or of a different Christian denomination. I am sure he loves all wogs, in his way.

But, jeez, what a stupid thing to think.”

This is a typical Liberal reaction. Notice how they always lump in Christianity with terrorists performing acts of terror and other historical bloody events with their, “if not for religion” argument, all this misery could have been avoided.

Yes, Ann Coulter was right, they (The Liberal Left) are indeed Godless!

Religion has nothing to do with this situation.

Tiger Woods is a man in desperate need as demonstrated by his reckless behavior. His story is common albeit more magnified by his world wide celebrity.

His marriage is fallen apart and his family unit is destroyed. However, many Christians have experienced the same thing. Our stories may be different, but no less painful for us all.

It is at these times, when we hit rock bottom, when we find out that Jesus Christ is the rock at the bottom!

Now, I don’t if Tiger Woods has hit bottom yet. And most likely Brit Hume doesn’t know either. But, just in case Tiger is near that bottom rung, Brit did the right thing, and he did it very well.

Sarah Palin Schools President Obama on National Security

The following is a statement by Sarah Palin from her Face Book page.

“President Obama’s meeting with his top national security advisers does nothing to change the fact that his fundamental approach to terrorism is fatally flawed. We are at war with radical Islamic extremists and treating this threat as a law enforcement issue is dangerous for our nation’s security. That’s what happened in the 1990s and we saw the result on September 11, 2001. This is a war on terror not an “overseas contingency operation.” Acts of terrorism are just that, not “man caused disasters.” The system did not work. Abdulmutallab was a child of privilege radicalized and trained by organized jihadists, not an “isolated extremist” who traveled to a land of “crushing poverty.” He is an enemy of the United States, not just another criminal defendant.

It simply makes no sense to treat an al Qaeda-trained operative willing to die in the course of massacring hundreds of people as a common criminal. Reports indicate that Abdulmutallab stated there were many more like him in Yemen but that he stopped talking once he was read his Miranda rights. President Obama’s advisers lamely claim Abdulmutallab might be willing to agree to a plea bargain – pretty doubtful you can cut a deal with a suicide bomber. John Brennan, the President’s top counterterrorism adviser, bizarrely claimed “there are no downsides or upsides” to treating terrorists as enemy combatants. That is absurd. There is a very serious downside to treating them as criminals: terrorists invoke their “right” to remain silent and stop talking. Terrorists don’t tell us where they were trained, what they were trained in, who they were trained by, and who they were trained with. Giving foreign-born, foreign-trained terrorists the right to remain silent does nothing to keep Americans safe from terrorist threats. It only gives our enemies access to courtrooms where they can publicly grandstand, and to defense attorneys who can manipulate the legal process to gain access to classified information.

President Obama was right to change his policy and decide to send no more detainees to Yemen where they can be free to rejoin their war on America. Now he must back off his reckless plan to close Guantanamo, begin treating terrorists as wartime enemies not suspects alleged to have committed crimes, and recognize that the real nature of the terrorist threat requires a commander-in-chief, not a constitutional law professor.”

Obama’s Top Counter-Terror Adviser: “There is no smoking gun.” Translation: Be afraid, be very afraid!

And the incompetence just keeps on coming from the Obama administration!

Yesterday President Barack Obama, who is still vacationing in Hawaii to feed his golf addiction, trotted out Deputy National Security Advisor John Brennan to the Sunday news shows, to attempt to calm the public’s angst over the recent failed terrorist attack on Christmas day by the fruit-of-loom bomber.

It didn’t work.

Incredibly, Brennan said this on Fox News Sunday:

“There is no smoking gun. There was no single piece of intelligence that said this guy is going to get on a plane.”

This guy makes Janet Napolitano look like Sherlock Holmes.

Now, I’m not an intelligence expert, but I used to be an investigator for the City of New York. And if I found out a man’s (Umar Farouik Abdulmutallab) own father walked into a U.S. Embassy in Lagos to report his own son had gone Jihadist, that’s pretty damn smokey.

And if I found out that the same guy spent time in Yemen, my eyes may begin to water.

Then if I also found out that the same guy had been banned from Britain, I may actually started coughing.

Why was the underwear bomber banned from Britain?

Brennan explained, “It was because of immigrations concern that was not related to terrorism at all.”

It turned out that Mr. Hot Pants lied on a visa application by putting down a fictitious school he wanted to attend in England.

I see.

So a Muslim who spent time in Yemen, lied on official government documents where you must sign an affirmation that you’re telling the truth, and Obama’s national security deputy still doesn’t see any 2020 hindsight smoke?

Why did he go on TV at all?

I hear the president is trying to coax Inspector Clouseau out of retirement. He’ll fit right in.

Avatar: America Bashing at its Hollywood Finest

This is not meant to be a movie review because that’s not what TLT is all about.

Although I consider myself somewhat of a movie buff as demonstrated by the movie clips I’ve post on my blog, I can’t help but give an opinion of what I just saw this afternoon.

It’s usually my practice to read a movie review of flicks I’m interested in seeing. However, it’s been especially busy this week at week and I didn’t have the time to follow up on the latest James Cameron movie since Titanic.

Big mistake!

From what I’d seen of coming attractions of Avatar, I foolishly thought this was Cameron’s version of Lord of the Rings. You know, fantasy stuff with strange creatures in a forest setting with humanoid beings involved in some sort of power struggle with evil critters that want to destroy them.

None of these things were close to the mark except for the abundance of trees, strange looking creatures with blue skin, and the evil ones that wanted to do harm happened to work for a cooperation that very much resembles an American corporation.

Then the plot lines became pretty blatant.

These humanoid creatures, called the Na’vi clan, lived on a planet called Pandora that was 6 light years away from earth. These Na’vi or Avatars lived peacefully on the planet and had a very tight spiritual bond with all the plants and animal life sharing the same energy-force that flows from plant to plant, and animal to animal, and back through the Na’vi in one circular the force is with you, Luke!

Sorry, different movie. But, you ge the idea.

For Conservatives like myself, the writing was on the wall and James Cameron doesn’t spare an opportunity of throwing into the subtext of the evil American cooperation wanting to extract a voluble mineral (not oil this time) that happens to be under the Na’vi land. And they didn’t care if they had to destroy the indigenous creatures to get it.

Yes, Americans were the bad guys!

Halfway through the movie, I kept checking my watch to see how much more of this pro-environmentalism, pro-socialism/communism, anti-cooperation and definitely anti-Americanism bullcrap I could take.

Of course I’m sure James Cameron would deny any such inferences existed in his movie and that anyone who reads these things into his film must have their own personal hang-ups.

It’s only a movie meant for entertainment purposes.

Yeah, that’s what they always say.

2009 Review: American Ignorance on Display

Lets review what we already know.

The bulk of Obama supporters are not stupid people, but rather ignorant folks that don't follow the matters of state. Democrats take advantage of this American ignorance because it fits right into their plans.

Liberals Final Solution: Make America Ignorant

A friend once told me, “You watch too much Fox News!”

I thought it was a very sad comment to make because what it represented.

“I watch Fox because they honestly report what’s going on in the world, AND they’re the only news organization with journalistic integrity, unlike the others in the mainstream media who have sold out theirs.”

But, my friend just shrugged his shoulders and give me a very strong impression that he thought that I was the foolish one.

My friend isn’t stupid.

In fact, he’s a very nice man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. However, when it comes to a world view, he’s totally accepted the manipulative templates that Liberals put out to control public thought.

• Rich people are evil and greedy
• Abortion is not killing the unborn, but rather Women’s Reproductive Rights
• If you’re against Gay Marriage, you’re a Homophobe or believe that homosexuals should be second-class citizens
• Oil is dirty energy
• Carbon Dioxide is a pollutant
• Republicans are racists
• If you’re critical of President Obama, it’s because he’s Black

There are dozens if not maybe hundreds of these simple templates that Liberal/Democrats put out through their willing sycophants in the media and more importantly through the public school system.

These templates are intended for the consumption of people who do not think deeply about the affairs of state because they’re too busy living out their day to day lives. The Democrats know this and this is intentionally done to keep people in a mindcontrol that benefits the Liberal agenda.

Do you ever hear Liberals complain about lower graduation rates?

Of course not!

But, you do hear them whine that teachers need to make more money without any merit standards attached. And you also hear them gripe about Charter schools despite the fact that they outperform public schools time after time.

Why are they against Charter schools?

Democrats say that public money should not be diverted to Charter schools in detriment to the public schools system without fixing the problems that ails public education.

Liar, liar, pants on fire!

The truth is that Teachers Unions contribute heavy into the coffers of the Democrat Party and as such they want to keep the status quo of inferior education.

However, more insidiously than that, Democrats don’t want better education for America’s school kids because that would threaten their necessity to keep the people just ignorant enough to swallow their false templates and maintain power over government and the people’s minds.

Thank God that home-schooling, private, and parochial education still provide America’s children with a needed alternative to the Liberals final solution to keep the people in the dark.

Nonetheless, the light still has to shine for those that are still in darkness. America's future is at stake and the better educated we are, the better to see the wolf.

The Myth of Sean Bell

Sean Bell got shot trying to protect a frail old woman from being mugged on the subway.

Wait a minute, that’s not what happened.

Okay, how about this?

Sean Bell got gunned down trying to save a blind little boy from being kidnapped by a notorious and vile pedophile.

No wait, that didn’t happen either.

How about this?

Sean Bell got slain for trying to protect a stranger from being set on fire by a disreputable street gang.

By now you probably already know that neither of these things actually happened. However, each one of those scenarios would have been well deserving of receiving the high honor of having a street renamed in your memory for performing an unselfish and heroic act to safeguard his fellow man.

There is no greater love than giving one’s life for someone else, right?

Nevertheless, the New York City Council voted on a resolution to have a small stretch of a Queens street renamed after Sean Bell for attempting to run over New York City cops with his car while driving drunk.

Of course, the picture the Left paints of Sean Bell is quite different. To them, he was an innocent Black man that was tragically assassinated in a hail of 50 bullets by racist NYPD police in the early morning hours of his wedding day. That’s all the Left needed to perpetuate another fraud in their long line of frauds upon the public and imbued a common street thug into an angel of light.

The fact that Bell was twice arrested for dealing crack cocaine and weapons possession was society’s fault, not his.

That fact that Sean Bell’s companions were quite familiar with the criminal justice system along with Bell himself was truly an inconvenient truth.

The bitter reality was that Sean Bell was a thug that was hanging with his fellow thug friends at a seedy strip joint getting sloshed on Hennessey and enjoying lap dances galore before he took the plunge into matrimony that was only hours away from fruition.

But, we dare not say that young Bell acted stupidly for trying to use his motor vehicle as a deadly weapon, and got clipped for his trouble by public servants in the performance of their duties.

Is the Black community so bereft of legitimate heroes that White Liberal politicians think that Sean Bell is the best they can offer?
Or is this yet another cynical bone being thrown to Black folks by theses same Lib pols to fool the public come re-election time and hide the broken promises they’ve made year after year?

Sean Bell died a thug’s death!

Let’s make him a hero and name a street after him. And don’t forget to give me your vote, because you know I really care.

Rachel Maddow Sinks to a New Low: Ridiculing Christians at Prayer

You know I think it’s disgusting that Rachel Maddow (The Karate Kid) used footage of Christians engaged in prayer to base her political commentary.

They (Liberals) really have no limit to the depths that they are willing to sink to inform the mindless dolts who follow them in the first place.

However, on further reflection, I cannot totally put blame on Leftist like Maddow, or Chris Matthews or even Keith Olberman for they do not know what they do.

Several years ago, Ann Coulter wrote a terrific book entitled, Godless, in which the Left went ballistic over a single chapter dealing with the so-called 911 widows.

However, the overall premises of the book, namely that Liberals are ungodly folks who pay only lip service to a belief in one true God. And when they do, its really for appearance sake so they can continue living lives of moral relativism which actually means by no morality except for standards they make up as they go along.

You know, things like climate change or closing Gitmo.

They didn’t give a hoot that Coulter was labeling them as “Godless” because she had them pegged for what they truly are.

And they didn’t care enough or knew enough to be offended. Ironically, this from a people that never miss an opportunity to be offended by anything.

So, on a certain level, I can’t hold the ignorant responsible for something that they’re totally ignorant about, such as the power of prayer.

However, I will say that Maddow has surpassed even Harry Reid’s slavery comments by offering a critique of prayers to score cheap and loathsome political points.

Nonetheless, ridicule is the only method Maddow employs on a regular basis which would explain her miniscule ratings.

But, if by some strange miracle, Rachel Maddow comes across this blog, let me say this.

Prayer is how we Christians have a conversation with God. We believe in a Creator God with all our hearts. We are not ashamed of this despite that amount of times you may show footage on MSNBC of Christians praying in Jesus name. In fact, we’ll even pray for you, Rachel Maddow, because no one is beyond Christ's redemptive power—not even godless Liberals.

How I Became a Conservative

Being born in Manhattan, and living the first 10 years of my life in the projects, my political persuasion was to be set in stone-Democrat.

However, my parents, who wanted better for their family, brought a house in Queens. It was like moving to a new country of driveways and backyards.

I was trilled!

When I got to high school, I met this guy named Bobby Greene. He was an Irish kid, good basketball, and a Yankees fan. Even though I was a Mets fan, we became good friends. Bobby would always come to class with a copy of the New York Post. I read the Daily News.

“Why do you read that,” he said one day.

“For the sports,” I replied.

“That’s the only section you read?”

“Yeah why?”

“The News is Liberal, and they lie all the time. The Post is Conservative. You need to read the Post.”

“Huh?”

So began my introduction at age 15 to the Opinion section of the paper and the difference between Liberal and Conservative. The funny thing was that I already agreed much more with Conservative thoughts than Liberal.
So I was leaning in that direction.

1979-Iran Hostage Crisis.

When Iranian students took American hostages, it was a very tense affair in my high school. Some Middle Eastern looking students got beat up.

I remembered a movie I saw called Raid on Entebbe or something to that effect, about how the Israelis successfully rescued over 100 hostages that were held in Uganda by PLO terrorists.

Me and Bobby both thought that if a small country like Israel can pull off that kind of operation, surely the greatest military (United States) in the history can do likewise.

Israel waited no more than 3 or 4 days before they mounted a rescue.

The United States?

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6

Day 7

Day 8….

“What the fucks wrong with Jimmy Carter?” I angrily asked Bobby.

“He’s a pussy! Dems are all like that.” he barked.

It was a very low time for the country. As Americans we felt so ashamed that a rag tag bunch of towelheads held us hostage for 444 days.

Then I saw Ronald Reagan once on the tube and I liked how he talked. At 17, I didn’t understand everything he said, but he projected a strength the country desperately needed.

One day, on my way to school, I saw this big billboard with a picture of Ayatollah Khomeini with a caption that read:

Fight Back Drive 55 MPH

I lost it!

And a full-fledged Reagan Conservative was born.

Obama's Falling Poll Numbers

That was then.

This is now.

It’s funny how the The Left is living in a state of denial as to why Obama’s numbers are tanking.

Hello?

The reason why Obama’s numbers are nose diving is because Americans are finally seeing that Obama is a mirage of a president perpetuated by lovesick media that intentionally misreported what he really is—a radical Leftist.

Keep being yourself, Barack!

You’re the best thing to happen to Conservatism since Jimmy Carter.
