Joran Van Der Sloot Marked for Assassination Tries to Escape from Peruvian Prison


The National Enquirer reports that confessed murderer JORAN VAN DER SLOOT tried to escape his Peruvian prison - but sources say guards stopped him after his cell mate squealed!

Charged with killing college student Stephany Flores in Lima, van der Sloot - also the key suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba - is behind bars in the notoriously harsh Miguel Castro Castro prison."Van der Sloot's now jailed in the high-security area," an insider told

The ENQUIRER, "and he's been told that a 'hit' has been ordered on him when he's transferred to the general population.

"Realizing he was marked for death, "Joran knows his only chance for survival and future freedom is to be transferred to the medical wing." Desperate, the thug devised a plan guaranteed to land him in the medical center and from there - escape!
