Missing Money Meeks Back in News: Democrat Rep Gregory Meeks Forgetting to Report Loans

Don’t leave any lose money hanging around your house. You’ll never know if Queens congressman Gregory Meeks might come by and snatch it up when you’re not looking.

Don’t tell the NAACP I wrote this, but, Meeks is a Black Hole because money seems to disappear around this guy.

This is about the 6th post, I really lost count, concerning one of the most corrupt congressman in the country that literally gets no national coverage.

Why is that, you’re thinking?

Maybe if Meeks was a senator instead of 1 of 435 representatives in the House, it would be a different story.

Lets get real here.

I think if Meeks was a White Republican from the South; you would be as familiar with his name as you are with your own children.

Yes, my congressman is one of the biggest dirtbags in congress and a discredit to his own race.

That’s right, I said it!

And it’s only because he’s a Black liberal Democrat that the main stream press ignores him and his fraud and misdeeds.

Queens Rep. Gregory Meeks has reactivated his personal “mute” button as questions emerge about his curious financial affairs.

Meeks, recall, is under federal investigation for his role, first reported by The Post, with a charity that raised $30,000 for Hurricane Katrina victims, but only delivered $1,392 in actual aid.

Now it turns out that Meeks has been downright forgetful — that’s his excuse, anyway — about a bunch of personal loans he received in recent years.

Not only did he forget to include them on his congressional disclosure forms, he won’t say who provided the money.

Meeks earlier this month disclosed for the first time that he’d received a “personal loan” of between $50,000 and $100,000 from Queens businessman Edul Ahmad — though Ahmad, asked by The Post about his relationship with the congressman, replied: “I have none.”

When asked about that transaction, Meeks suddenly admitted that he’d also received two other loans: one for $40,000, which he got in 2007 and has been repaid, and another the next year for $15,000, which is outstanding.

Meeks insisted that his not listing them on his disclosure form, as legally required, was simply an “oversight.”

But he wouldn’t answer any questions about who loaned him the money and for what reason — both of which he must also disclose by law.

Reports say the loans may be connected to the luxurious home for which Meeks paid $830,000 in 2008 — at a time when his disclosure form listed no cash assets, including retirement accounts, investments or savings.

Whenever Democrats uttered, “Hurricane Katrina” it was a slam against President George Bush and all Republicans for the aftermath of the tragedy that befell New Orleans, Louisiana on September 3, 2005.

If you enter the name “Katrina” in Google, you’d get over 27 million hits and the hurricane is the first item that appears in the search.

That event was a tailored made template for Democrats that reinforces the deception and perception that all Republicans are racists and that’s the reason Blacks should continue to support the Democrat party at a rate of 95% and higher all across the country.

All the news organizations were gladly abroad promulgating the Katrina template and it continues to this day and will continue forever!

It was all a lie!

However, there is another side to the Katrina story of how these same Democrats like Rep Gregory Meeks, a Black politician decided to take advantage of his own people that he promised to help.

He raised over $31,000 through phony non-profit he started and never sent suffering New Orleanderss the money.

Where is the major media now?

Or is Black on Black crime not worth the bother?

Hurricane Katrina left them with nothing but hope -- but Rep. Gregory Meeks took even that away, stiffed New Orleans families told The Post.

"For those people to use our tragedy for their gain, it's sad," said Catherine Phipps, 48, one of the Katrina victims who was given empty promises of aid by the Queens Democrat.

"It makes me want to cry. They're going to have to answer to a higher being."

The Post located victims who have returned to New Orleans, and they spoke out yesterday for the first time about Meeks' broken promises.

"I had on a pair of flip-flops -- those were my only shoes," Phipps said.

"Candace had us fill out some forms and asked us to write down what we needed. I thought that was crazy because I didn't have anything -- no clothes, no food, nothing."

The aid that had been promised never came.

In fact, after providing Sandy with laundry lists of essential items they needed for survival, the families say they never heard from her or the charity again.

Phipps, who now runs a small day-care center, said she and her family lost everything in the flood and were not able to move back into their Ninth Ward house until three years after the levees broke.

"My heart goes out to the people who thought enough about us to give that money -- unfortunately, it never made it to us," Phipps told The Post. "Everything we went through hurt like hell, and this is another

I don’t think Gregory Meeks is the only Dem pol who did this kind of thing.

How Do Democrats Steal Your Money? Start a NPO

For the last several weeks I’ve written about a matter the MSM doesn’t want to report. It’s a story not only relevant to New York, but also across the country like New Orleans, Louisiana where a couple of New York Democrats, one a member of the House of Representatives named Gregory Meeks, and the other a New York state senator named Malcolm Smith, are both being investigated by the Feds
for allegedly not sending money raised by a non-profit organization (NPO) they created called New Yorkers Organized to Assist Hurricane Families (NOAH-F) TO TO families in New Orleans affected by Hurricane Katrina.

What happened to the money is up to the Feds to determine. The bigger story is these two Democrats aren’t the only two shysters in the state, let alone the country.

For example in New York alone Larry Seabrook and , Maria Del Carmen are also under investigation for they use non profits, and Democrat City Councilman Miguel Martinez plead guilty to federal charges involving the misuse of taxpayer dollars through Council slush funds.

What’s needed here is the Justice Department to launch a country-wide probe into how Democrats are getting away with Grand Larceny by misusing taxpayer money through laundering funds through NPOs.

Tracked down by The Post, Louis Rainey, the man chosen by Meeks to identify families that needed help, said the money that the Queens Democrat had promised never arrived.

Rep Gregory Meeks, a member of the Congressional Black caucus, is under investigation for a familiar way CBC members love to steal taxpayer money by using non-profit organizations to hide their alleged dirty deeds in the name of helping people.

However, Greggie is not alone in the shenanigans; New York State Senator Malcolm Smith is also under suspicion for non-profit-money grabbing.

The New York Post reports:

Meeks' controversial charity, New Yorkers Organized to Assist Hurricane Families, is now under investigation by federal prosecutors.

According to its own filings, NOAH-F delivered just $1,392 of the roughly $31,000 it raised

"These people came down here, sold a good story and didn't deliver," said Louis Rainey, a former Louisiana Democratic political director who himself lost his home to Katrina.

"We didn't get the funds," Rainey told The Post.

"We never got a dime."

Meeks and state Sen. Malcolm Smith, also a Queens Democrat, established NOAH-F shortly after the storm to help 30 displaced families and made the new charity part of their previously organized New Direction Local Development Corp.

At the time, Meeks told the Times-Ledger, a Queens weekly, "Every dime, every dime, will go to these 30 families."

In another story reported by The Post relating to the deceitful use of non-profits:

Rep. Gregory Meeks secured a $100,000 federal payout for a Far Rockaway community group whose executive director is a frequent campaign contributor.

The Queens Democrat -- now facing scrutiny for his ties to a controversial Hurricane Katrina charity, earmarked the funds for Ocean Bay Community Development Corp.'s job-training program in the 2010 spending bills, while his campaign pocketed $1,500 from Ocean Bay's executive director, Patricia Simon.

"It's a form a legalized bribery," said Melanie Sloan, of the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "Americans have to wonder if he is looking out for what is good for the country or good for his campaign coffers, and you really have no way to know."

The US Attorney's Office has launched a probe to find the missing money. The hurricane-relief effort was launched by a nonprofit group, New Directions Local Development Corp., founded by Meeks and state Sen. Malcolm Smith, also of Queens.

Both Meeks and Smith have said the New Directions was run by a board that made decisions about how its funds were used.
