It’s Time to Blow Up New York Mets

For my regular readers who expect a little humor, a rant on Liberalism or Barack Obama, or just stories on events of he day, I need therapy to deal with the New York Mets.

For Mets fans that happen onto this blog, I feel your pain after another Mets uninspiring loss to the Phillies.

This is not a game recap, it’s an ache of the soul of a Mets fan. Our team sucks, our manager sucks, our gm sucks, and most importantly our owner, Fred Wilpon sucks the most.

Crazy Freddy doesn’t seem to think the Mets suck very much. In fact, he said yesterday that gm Omar Minaya is doing a good job.

What?

I once called Jeff Wilon, the owner’s son, the anti-Steinbrenner. But, Fred fits that’s description too.

In a sick way, I wish the Mets would loose ALL the rest of their games. Then maybe Fred Wilpon would realize there’s a problem with his team.

WANTED: New Owner for New York Mets: Fred Wilpon is Insane: Donald Trump Please Apply

This is a report fom the New York post

Mets owner: Minaya will be back as GM

The Mets’ reign of error is set to continue into 2011.

The team’s principal owner, Fred Wilpon, on Thursday said he is planning to stick with general manager Omar Minaya beyond this year, despite the threat of a second straight losing season.

Wilpon, in East Hartford, Conn., to help announce a new partnership between SNY and UConn athletics, brushed aside reporters’ inquiries about his floundering Mets. But as Wilpon walked away, a Post reporter asked if Minaya would remain the team’s GM beyond this year.

“Is the sun going to come up tomorrow?” Wilpon answered.

Minaya is signed through the 2012 season and still owed more than $2 million.
Last August, in the midst of a nightmarish 70-win season, Wilpon offered a similar endorsement for Minaya, answering “Absolutely. That’s a fact,” when asked by The Post if Minaya would remain as GM in 2010.

To further infuriate his fan base, Wilpon also gave a thumbs up on the job performance by his son, team COO Jeff Wilpon. As Fred Wilpon ducked into a chauffeured automobile he was asked about the job Jeff is doing,

“Excellent,” Fred Wilpon said. “Everybody knows that.”

Help!!!!

I’m in fan hell with an owner who is out to lunch! It’s absolutely clear that Fred Wilpom belongs in a straight jacket if he thinks that GM Omar Minaya and his idiot, non graduating-from-college-ass son Jeff is doing a good job.

What more proof do you need that dementia has set in?

This team needs to be blown up because they’re a bunch of chokers!

Donald Trump, please give Fred Wilpon an offer he can’t refuse!

A Mets Fan’s futile Plea to Fred Wilpon: Sell the New York Mets and Get Lost!

As the trade deadline passed at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, the New York Mets did nothing to improve the team.

So what else is new?

Rumors are that Fred Wilpom, owner of the Mets has been financially devastated by swindler and con man Barnie Madoff who is currently serving a 150 year prison term.

And to add to that miserable news, former Wilpon employees filed a lawsuit against the Mets owner for lost retirement funds that has left them with no nest egg for their retirement years.

Let me speak for all Mets fans by saying we don’t care about Fred Wilpon’s financial problems.

For far too long before the Madoff thing ever happened, Mets fans has suffered the pain of having an owner who has always operated the Mets as if he were living in Kansas City instead of New York.

We have to suffer the indignity and the taunts by Yankee fans year after year for having a team that is just good enough to be mediocre.

We are tired of this and are tired of the Wilpon regime!

Fred, I have a solution for you.

If you no longer have the financial wherewithal to compete in New York as a big market team, then sell the Mets to some other wealthy New Yorker who does.

You’ve owned the Mets for nearly 30 years and have only 1 championship to show for it. That may be better than what the Chicago Cubs have done, but it’s not good enough for Mets fans anymore.

Sell the team, repay the money you lost for your employees, and free Mets fans from the purgatory you have us all in.

Jeff Wilpon, Owner of the New York Mets is the Anti-Steinbrenner and a Disgrace to Baseball

Jeff Wilpon is the only Mets executive who didn’t graduate from college. When you’re the son of owner Fred Wilpon, did he really have to?

Fred is up there in years and it’s up to Jeff to run the team. Mets fans have been living with his incompetence ever since.

The Mets lost today to the L.A. Dodgers 1-0 ending one of the worst road trips in Mets history at 2-9. The Mets are 8 games behind the NL East leading Atlanta Braves, and Jeff Wilpon yawns and sips a glass of white wine.

He doesn’t panic about anything and laughs reading the Wall Street Journal.

Meanwhile, Mets fans are suffering. Some ache in silence and others scream loudly and call WFAN to complain.

They wish Jeff Wilpon would sell the Mets to some other wealthy New Yorker like Donald Trump. Mets fans need an owner with a pulse who actually has a brain, and more importantly a lethal desire to win.

They want their own Stienbrenner instead of Daffy Duck.

This is a guy spoofing Jeff Wilpon and its pretty funny.
