Since the birth of their first son together at the weekend, we have been eagerly waiting to see what the recently engaged celeb couple would call their baby boy. And, like always, the news broke out via Twitter. The Muse singer, @MattBellamy announced the anticipated name: Bingham 'Bing' Hawn Bellamy.

On his Twitter page he wrote, "So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham 'Bing' Hawn Bellamy.” He was born on the 9th of July, weighing a hefty 7lbs 12oz, and the proud father went on to confess, “Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!” resulting in him referring admirably to the mother of his child as a “warrior”.

He later went on to explain the reasoning behind the name: Matt's mum's maiden name is Bingham and coincidently, Kate's mum's partner, Kurt Russel's dad's first name was Bing. Matt himself described it as: “Family connections all round!” The middle name of Hawn needs no explaination with the inspiration coming from the Bride War's star's mum, Goldie.

The sweet, special name joins a long list of other unusual celebrity baby names, including that of Victoria and David Beckham adventurous decision to call their first baby girl, Harper Seven, which sparked much controversies earlier in the week.
