When Obama ran for president he stayed as far away as he could from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. The media was careful to package him as the post-racial candidate that didn’t need to associate with any of the usual black leaders to garner legitimacy.
Welcome 2011 and his approval rating has plummeted to an all time low of 42%.
The margin of victory that gave Obama the White House, support from independent whites, have abandoned his
ship of state. Thus, the need to fly to Harlem and hobnob with one of the worst poverty-pimps/race-baiters in American politics-Al Sharpton.
The black vote is in the bag for Obama, but he really needs to up the percentage so he can continue enjoying his golf games on the White House lawn.
